House Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key<\/strong> is in keylock on garden wall, left of front door and behind you. No 4442<\/strong>. Push down lever to left of number to open. Please don\u2019t walk away with key when you leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is not a WIFI router in the house. We use our phones. Most providers mobile networks work at the house.  If you buy a drink at the Globe (How the Light Gets In) you can use their WIFI, which extends to their gardens (and ours). The public library has internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heating. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boiler that controls heating and water is in kitchen. Bottom quarter flips open to reveal controls. We always leave the boiler on even when away as this keeps frost protection on.\u00a0 Bottom left dials controls radiator temperature. Bottom right hot water. Turn the hot water fully clockwise for shower to be best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turn both dials fully anti clockwise when leaving.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the right of the boiler is a thermostat. This turns the heating on or off for the whole house. We normally set it on 19 degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water heating can be left on full during your stay. Radiators have individual thermostats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

House heats very quickly. Please turn off radiators if out for any length of time. All the radiators can be turned off by turning the left heating dial fully anticlockwise on the boiler<\/strong>. We normally leave it in this position in summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fridge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plug in, the plug is above the fridge, above the metal worksurface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freezer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If needed turn on with the switch that is next to the freezer (at the back), neon light shows it is on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feel free to use culinary spices etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use candles with care<\/strong>. No unprotected nightlights on surfaces please. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The window in the attic should only be opened partially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utilities Waste Disposal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recycling \u2013 in carrier bag  on door in smaller understairs cupboard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

General Rubbish in Green Bin in kitchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please put general rubbish in external large wheelie bin outside before leaving.   Wheelie bit is just off the alleyway, further from main road than the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bin liners in drawer of kitchen table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washing machine<\/strong>\u00a0 Top loader in kitchen corner under removable work surface. “MIX” setting best. Turn dial to zero, then desired setting, then press start button .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dishwasher\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Straightforward. Press left  button to turn on, choose setting (default is fine) and press start. Door can be opened whilst machine is in operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoover<\/strong> in smaller downstairs cupboard under the stairs. Iron<\/strong> in right side of cupboard next to fridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Woodburning stove<\/strong> in sitting room to be used with care.  Front transparent silica panels are fragile and wood can easily break them.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbeque<\/strong> Barbeque (Beyond shed) is gas powered. On\/off tap is at top of gas bottle, on the side. Press the brass button in to turn it. The barbeque igniter does not work, so use gas lighter in cutlery drawer. You will need to move grill to light the barbeque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the gas bottle, down is on, horizontal is off. Please make sure to leave on horizontal when leaving. Thanks.  Note Butane gas does not work well in cold weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On leaving\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please leave house clean and tidy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All lights off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turn off the boiler by turning both dials fully anti-clockwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radiators turned off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lock door, put key back in keybox, and set random number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enjoy your stay.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
